"PARR'S WRITING IS ON THE MONEY" —Gerry Desautels, The Provincetown Banner

David Parr DAVID PARR (Playwright)  David Parr’s first play ZACK&JILL premiered as part of Bailiwick Theatre’s 1994 Director’s Festival in Chicago where it was chosen as Best of the Fest (dir. Rob Chambers).  His short WHERE WERE YOU? appeared in Live Bait Theatre’s 1995 omnibus Dear Jackie: Queen of Camelot Remembered.  His comedy-drama ELEANOR RIGBY IS WAITING premiered at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival (dir. Eric Amburg).  He wrote the book and lyrics for the musical THE GREAT WHITE WAY (dir. David Marquez), with music by Rebecca Cordes, which workshopped at the 2007 New York International Dance Festival.  In June 2008, his short play SOUTH DELANCEY was selected as part of The Metropolitan Playhouse’s East Village Chronicles, directed by Melissa Maxwell. His most recent play, MIMI AT THE 44TH PARALLEL, made its world premiere at Dallas’s Out of the Loop Festival in March of 2010.

DAVID DRAKE
(Director)
 is an actor, writer and director.  In 2010 on Cape Cod, David directed two critically acclaimed productions at the historic Provincetown Theater;  David Parr’s SLAP&TICKLE and Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic OUR TOWN.  Other recent productions include staging the world premiere of Deborah Karpel’s SONGS MY MOTHER NEVER TAUGHT ME in Recklinghausen, Germany;  James Edwin Parker’s 2 BOYS IN A BED... at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival;  and the sold-out run of Taylor Mac’s music-theater extravaganza THE LILY'S REVENGE at Here in NYC -- chosen one of the “10 Best Shows of 2009” by The New Yorker, Village Voice, Paper Magazine, and The New York Post.  In the spring of 2010, THE LILY'S REVENGE was presented with a “Special Citation” Obie Award.  David has also directed and developed new shows in NY at The Public, Theater for the New City, Rattlestick Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Source, Joe’s Pub, and has had three productions debut in the NYC International Fringe Festival.  David has been an artist-in-residence at NY’s Dance Theater Workshop and has twice been a Directing Fellow at the Sundance Theater Lab.  As a playwright/performer, David won a 1993 Obie Award for his long-running hit THE NIGHT LARRY KRAMER KISSED ME.  To date, LARRY KRAMER has received over 50 U.S. productions, while also being produced internationally in Paris, London, Buenos Aires, San Paulo, Auckland, Sydney, Edinburgh, Montreal, and Johannesburg.  In 2000, Tim Kirkman’s feature film version of LARRY KRAMER screened in two dozen international film festivals.  It has since aired on Here TV, and is distributed on DVD by TLA Releasing.  As an actor, other NY stage credits include the original off-Broadway companies of PAGEANT, END OF THE WORLD PARTY, and the 1996 Obie Award-winning revival THE BOYS IN THE BAND.  Feature films appearances include Longtime Companion, David Searching, IT'S PAT, WE PEDAL UPHILL, BEAR CITY and Jonathan Demme’s Academy Award-winning PHILADELPHIA.  On TV, David has guest-starred on LAW & ORDER:  CRIMINAL INTENTNY UNDERCOVERTHE BEAT, and is a three-time offender on LAW & ORDER.  In the fall of 2010, David will adapt and direct a multimedia stage version of Hans Christian Andersen’s THE SNOW QUEEN at the Maryland Institute College of Art in his hometown of Baltimore.

SUSAN MORABITO
(Original Music) has one of the most distinctive and unique styles of any DJ working in the world today.   She has played virtually every club in NYC—Twilo, Roxy, Sound Factory, Limelight (now Avalon), Palladium, Cielo and SBNY and has been among Saint-at-Large DJ's since 1994 when she shattered the glass ceiling and was the first woman ever to play the Black Party.  After more than 20 years working in the world of music, Susan has earned a reputation of being musically tasteful, versatile, selective and creative.

Robert Driemeyer
ROBERT DRIEMEYER (Producer)  Robert Driemeyer is currently represented on Broadway as an Associate Producer of the Tony Award-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES starring Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge.  His first foray into producing was a cabaret for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS in 1991.  Since then, he has produced numerous cabaret performances and benefits as well as sketch shows for Gotham City Improv.  He also was a co-producer of DEAR GEORGE:  LETTERS TO THE PRESIDENT starring Rue McClanahan, Rex Reed and Tina Louise which benefited Actors’ Fund of America and was licensed to 40 theatres across the country in 2004 as a pre-election event.

JIM A. LANDÉ (Producer)
SLAP&TICKLE represents Jim's first venture into theatrical producing.  He is a backer of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES starring Kelsey Grammer and Douglas Hodge.  He is a member of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera Society (UK) and is a promoter of independent roots rock, alt-country and Americana bands. He comes to producing from prior career positions as researcher in the British House of Commons, senior congressional adviser for the U.S. Department of State, and professional staff, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Washington DC.  He is an Executive Producer of the independent feature film BEAR CITY, directed by Douglas Langway, which premiered in the summer of 2010 to sold out audiences at the film festivals NewFest (New York), Frameline (San Francisco, selling out the Castro Theater), OutFest (Los Angeles, two sold-out screenings), wining two OutFest Grand Jury Awards for Best Screenwriting and Best Actor, and other US and international film festival circuits (Austin, Tel Aviv, Melbourne, Torino) later in the year.

Ron Johnson
RON JOHNSON (Marketing) is an actor, event coordinator and producer.  He created his own production company r2j2 productions over 20 years ago.  Since then he has worked with many high profile projects and personalities, most notably AMERICAN THEATRE WING HONORS NATHAN LANE AND MATTHEW BRODERICK, and concert appearances of Tony Bennett, Jerry Vale and La India.  Along with producing theatrical plays and musicals, he has created such events as Pan Latin Music Festival, Columbus Day Parade Festival and Mardi Gras for Charity.  As an actor/producer he presented himself in a national tour of the one-man musical DIRTY DREAMS OF A CLEAN CUT KID.  He is proud of his association with SLAP&TICKLE and happy to  be working with all his new and old friends.
CHARLIE OWENS (Stage Manager) is excited to be making his professional debut at the Provincetown Theater with SLAP&TICKLE.  He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in theater at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany.  Previous stage management credits include LIFE UNDER 30 and AND THEN THERE WERE NONE at Hudson Valley Community College and as assistant stage manager of THE CRUCIBLE at SUNY Albany.  He also has experience in sound and set design, and is an Irene Ryan nominated actor.  Charlie would like to thank his family and friends for their love and support.
CHRIS PAGE (Lighting Design) has been involved in Cape Cod theater since 1998 and has designed three national touring musicals for Master Productions out of Dallas/Ft Worth TX.  He is honored to work with David Drake for the second time this season, beginning with OUR TOWN.  He is also Production Stage Manager for Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater's Harbor Stage.
BETO GUEDES (Costume Design) is from Caracas, Venezuela.  He is a graduate of Las Mercedes Design Academy (1992) and Parsons (1994.  He is a costume designer, wardrobe master and freelance stylist based in New York, and has designed for opera, dance, theater and film both in New York and abroad.
DEAN DENMON (Technical Director) has served as Production Manager and Technical Director on countless Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway productions at many New York theaters including Theatre Row, Actors Playhouse, The Zipper, Minetta Lane, Theater Resource, HERE and Spiegelworld (2007 and 208).  This is Mr. Denmon's second production in Provincetown, as he also served as Technical Director for 2 BOYS IN A BED ON A COLD WINTER'S NIGHT (2006–2009) at The Art House..
